Our MissionDe Solay Daywa
Foundation
De Solay Daywa
(“Torch of Peace”) wishes to help the people of Afghanistan to recover from the
hardships of war, to protect them from the continuing dangers of ignorance,
sectarianism and racism, and to foster the participation of Afghan women in the
new economy and government of their country. Afghanistan has been torn by
political conflict and by ethnic hatred between the Uzbek, Hazara, Tajik and
Pashtun tribal groups. The situation for women and children has become
intolerable. De Solay Daywa seeks to foster equality and dignity for all
Afghans, and offers assistance, protection and education without discrimination
of race or religion. The Foundation is helping to rebuild Afghanistan with
grants of aid to the poorest elements of Afghan society.
The Foundation’s grants of money and goods go directly to
women in Afghanistan. In some cases these grants are to individuals and
families, to meet their most urgent survival requirements. De Solay Daywa adheres to a strict, auditable, discipline
of high contribution efficiency and low fund overheads.
The De Solay Daywa Foundation supports the concepts of the
rule of law, democratic government, and basic human rights for all citizens, as
defined in the Constitution of the United States of America. The Foundation
also believes that a measure of free public education for all citizens is a
desirable goal for any government and nation. The De Solay Daywa Foundation is
not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution,
and it does not endorse or oppose any causes, beyond its stated desire to help
the men, women and children of Afghanistan. Contact Information
